The Nova Scotia PhD Program in Educational Studies admits students distinguished for their scholarly and research potential. You are entering a program on exciting academic trajectories. While in the program, you will deepen your theoretical knowledge and develop your research skills. Along the way, you will participate in a vital scholarly community that is rapidly developing amongst students and faculty from the three participating universities.
While in the program, you will engage in a range of learning activities: attend an intensive summer institute, take challenging courses, complete a comprehensive scholarly portfolio, and engage in scholarship and research leading to the production of a PhD dissertation. Along the way, as part of your growing engagement as scholars, you will participate in teaching, research, publishing, and other professional activities.
